These were some things i was experimenting with way back, in 2010. I hadn’t really seen any of Dinh Q. Lê’s work (who you should Google, and check out his images, because they are legiiiiit elaborately woven photographs) until i brought these samples to my seminar class in Hong Kong. From there, I pingponged into a bunch of other ideas.
I’m still working on this concept, trying to make it more personal and more mine, but here are some of the scraps from my experiments.
These are laser-printed photographs on textured card woven into watercolor paintings.
